This Privacy Policy explains how Maktabat Al-Marifah — Arabic Digital Library (the “App”, “we”, “us”)
collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile and web
applications. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign in, our authentication
provider collects your email address and basic account identifiers so we can
create and secure your account.
Device identifier. The App generates a unique identifier
stored on your device to associate your reading data with you.
Usage and reading data. Reading progress, bookmarks,
favorites, highlights, and reading history that you create while using the App.
Content you submit. Text passages you choose to have read
aloud, summarized, or analyzed by AI features are sent to our processors to
generate the requested audio or text response.
Technical logs. Standard server logs (such as request
timestamps and error information) used to operate and secure the service.
How We Use Your Information
To provide core features: reading, search, bookmarks, favorites, and
synchronizing your reading progress.
To generate spoken narration (text-to-speech) and AI-assisted summaries
and answers when you request them.
To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the service.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share the minimum data necessary with trusted providers that help us run the App:
Authentication provider — to manage sign-in and account security.
AI provider — text you submit for text-to-speech, summaries,
or questions is processed to return audio or text. This content is used only to
fulfill your request.
Hosting and storage provider — to host the service and store
generated audio and uploaded files.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data Retention
We retain your account and reading data for as long as your account is active or
as needed to provide the service. Generated narration audio may be cached to
improve performance. You may request deletion of your data at any time using the
contact below.
Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under
the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children
under 13.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be
reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.

المعلومات التي نجمعها
معلومات الحساب: عند تسجيل الدخول، يقوم مزوّد المصادقة بجمع
بريدك الإلكتروني ومعرّفات الحساب الأساسية لإنشاء حسابك وتأمينه.
معرّف الجهاز: ينشئ التطبيق معرّفًا فريدًا يُخزَّن على جهازك
لربط بيانات القراءة الخاصة بك.
بيانات الاستخدام والقراءة: تقدّم القراءة والإشارات المرجعية
والمفضّلة والتظليلات وسجل القراءة الذي تنشئه أثناء استخدام التطبيق.
المحتوى الذي ترسله: النصوص التي تختار قراءتها صوتيًا أو
تلخيصها أو تحليلها بواسطة ميزات الذكاء الاصطناعي تُرسَل إلى مزوّدي المعالجة
لتوليد الصوت أو الرد المطلوب.
السجلات التقنية: سجلات الخادم القياسية المستخدمة لتشغيل
الخدمة وتأمينها.
كيفية استخدام معلوماتك
لتقديم الميزات الأساسية: القراءة والبحث والإشارات المرجعية والمفضّلة ومزامنة
تقدّمك في القراءة.
لتوليد القراءة الصوتية والملخّصات والإجابات بمساعدة الذكاء الاصطناعي عند طلبك.
للتحقق من هويتك والحفاظ على أمان حسابك.
لصيانة الخدمة وتحسين موثوقيتها.
مزوّدو الخدمات الخارجيون
نشارك الحد الأدنى من البيانات اللازمة مع مزوّدين موثوقين يساعدوننا في تشغيل
التطبيق: مزوّد المصادقة، ومزوّد الذكاء الاصطناعي (لمعالجة النصوص التي ترسلها)،
ومزوّد الاستضافة والتخزين. نحن لا نبيع معلوماتك الشخصية.
الاحتفاظ بالبيانات
نحتفظ ببيانات حسابك وقراءتك طالما ظل حسابك نشطًا أو حسب الحاجة لتقديم الخدمة.
يمكنك طلب حذف بياناتك في أي وقت عبر وسيلة التواصل أدناه.
خصوصية الأطفال
التطبيق موجّه لجمهور عام وليس للأطفال دون سن الثالثة عشرة، ولا نجمع عمدًا
معلومات شخصية من الأطفال دون هذا السن.
